Jaguar D-Type Race Vision 2020 by Sreejith Krishnan Kunjappan

Modern interpretation of the Jaguar D-Type racing cars of the 1950s. Innovative monocoque construction and an aeronautical approach to design made this competition car stand out. The D-Types won the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1955, 1956 and 1957. It was designed by Malcolm Sayer, who was an aircraft designer before joining Jaguar. The uniqueness of the design include the offset bonnet bulge, twin cockpit sections and the vertical rear fin for stability.
